The purchase date deadline for the Federal first time home buyer tax credit of up to $8,000 has been extended. All purchase contracts need to be in effect no later than April 30, 2010 and close no later than June 30, 2010.
The amount of income someone may now earn has been increased and the criteria for buyers has been expanded for those purchasers who have already owned and occupied a primary residence for five conecutive years of the last eight years.
Limitations for all of these programs apply, it is a great benefit to those people purchasing homes in the next few months. Please contact me for more information.
